{"id":41,"date":"2017-06-27T22:25:35","date_gmt":"2017-06-27T22:25:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/supportmyfwc.com\/?page_id=41"},"modified":"2017-06-30T20:58:29","modified_gmt":"2017-06-30T20:58:29","slug":"statement-of-christian-unity","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/supportmyfwc.com\/?page_id=41","title":{"rendered":"Statement of Christian Unity"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The Apostles\u2019 Creed has been widely accepted in modern times as a proposed basis of Christian unity.\u00a0 While many churches use the Apostles\u2019 Creed as part of their liturgy and statement of faith, some people may be unfamiliar with it.\u00a0 Moreover, since it is not written in contemporary English, some items may need clarification.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li>To agree with the Apostles\u2019 Creed, you have a belief in God as Trinity, including the belief that Jesus Christ is both fully human and fully divine.<\/li>\n<li>Use of the word \u201ccatholic\u201d and \u201capostolic\u201d does not refer to Roman Catholic or any other denomination of Christian church. The word \u201ccatholic\u201d refers to the true Christian church being made up of all Christian believers world-wide.\u00a0 The word \u201capostolic\u201d means that all Christians descend spiritually from the New Testament church founded by the original apostles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><u>The Apostles\u2019 Creed<\/u><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I believe in God,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The Father almighty,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Creator of heaven and earth,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I believe in Jesus Christ,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">His only Son, our Lord.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">And was born of the Virgin Mary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">He suffered under Pontius Pilate,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Was crucified, died, and was buried.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">He descended into hell.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">On the third day he rose again.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">He ascended into heaven<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">And is seated at the right hand of the Father.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">He will come again to judge the living and the dead.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I believe in the Holy Spirit,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The holy catholic church,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The communion of saints,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The forgiveness of sins,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The resurrection of the body,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">And the life everlasting,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Apostles\u2019 Creed has been widely accepted in modern times as a proposed basis of Christian unity.\u00a0 While many churches use the Apostles\u2019 Creed as part of their liturgy and statement of faith, some people may be unfamiliar with it.\u00a0 Moreover, since it is not written in contemporary English, some items may need clarification.
